ART 280-01 Drawing for Non-Majors—Fall 2009

What: Drawing for non-majors—3 credits

When: Only once a week on Monday, 5:10-8PM

Where: Haynes 233

Who: Taught by: Heather Bentz, MFA, Assistant Dean, College of Arts and
Architecture

Why: Because it will be fun AND interesting!

This course is specifically designed for non-majors as an introductory, yet broad and rigorous course in the techniques, materials, vocabulary and application of drawing. You will develop your ability to produce hand drawn work while also broadening your understanding of art terminology, theory and the critique process. As a 3-hour studio class, you will develop and practice your drawing skills in class. Partial time will be given to lecture, demonstration and one-on-one interaction.
