Family On Campus Understanding Support
A diverse group of MSU faculty, staff and students.
Our Mission: Support Family Promise of Gallatin Valley with a rotating sustainable group of MSU students, faculty and staff. Support FOCUS members by providing a fun safe environment to volunteer within, along with providing opportunities for networking on campus and elsewhere.

Our Commitment: Focus members are expected to complete Family Promise training, participate in monthly meetings, and personally commit to four volunteer shifts at Family Promise of Gallatin Valley within a 12 month cycle.

STUDENT FELLOWS NEEDED FOR CLS 101US SPRING 2O10

Interested in being a student fellow for CLS 101US for Spring 2010?

Accepted studnets will be enrolled in CLS 460: Teaching Internship, a 2 or 3 credit upper division course for teaching, and will have the option of taking a 1 credit independent study course (CLS 470). This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain teaching experience in a seminar-style course and may be especially valuable to students in teaching majors or students seeking administration to graduate school with teaching assistantships.

Successful applicants will have:

*the ability to work well with first-year students
*maturity, responsibility, and commitment to learning
*an interest in a variety of disciplines and perspectives
*GPA of 3.0 or above

SERVICE SATURDAY! GET INVOLVED

The MSU Office of Community Involvement has set a Service Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 7.

Volunteers have four options to choose from: Bridger Clinic mailings and Big Brothers Big Sisters gift wrapping at Family Fest will both take place in the Strand Union Building on campus. There will also be the option to go to the Gallatin Valley Food Bank and help prepare race packets for the Huffing for Stuffing Thanksgiving Day Run or help kick-off this year’s Can the Griz food drive by picking up donated food in a Bozeman neighborhood.

This event is open students, faculty/staff, and community members. Families are welcome. Transportation is provided. Meet 15 minutes ahead of time in the Strand Union Building, on campus, in between the Ask Us desk and the Market.
Upcoming Service Saturdays have been set for Dec. 5 when volunteers can work at the America Reads*America Counts Barnes & Noble book fair or holiday card making and kids activities in the mall.For more information, contact Adriann Leveille at 994-5242, msucampuscorps@montana.edu
