VOLUNTEER FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS
Special Olympics is looking for student-athletes and staff to volunteer to assist with their opening banquet on May13th. Some of the areas in need of help are food servers, table 'monitors', and possibly directing the athletes. Monitors would be at the table(s) and remind Olympians to carry dishes to utensils to garbage; help them get seated if needed, etc.
They will be serving about 1700 people in shifts between 4:30 and 5:45P in Shoyer Gym, and will need about 20-25 volunteers from us, because they will be serving lots of people in a short amount of time!
To sign up contact Mary Kay Minor (info below) or me by April 15th. This is a great cause and another way to give back to those in our community.
